Never give up

James Shaw is a rider we've followed closely, from being the youngest rider on the Lotto-Soudal team in 2017 to being ditched from the World Tour, starting again with a small British team in 2019, then getting another chance with an ambitious Danish pro team the following year.

When that dream also turned sour, Shaw was back with a British team for 2021. He had one major chance to shine, at the Tour of Slovenia in June against Tadej Pogačar and others. He more than held his own, finishing 5th overall and, with that result, earned a move back to the World Tour with EF Education Nippo for 2022.

In this episode we hear from James over the years and then catch up with him after signing his new contract. We also hear from his new sports director, Tom Southam.
