Who is Mick Bennett?

You’ll probably know the name Mick Bennett, especially if you follow British cycling. As one of the key people at SweetSpot, he was instrumental in reviving the Tour of Britain in 2004 and in 2014 creating the Women’s Tour.

Today, he’s race director for both events. But there's far more to Bennett's life in cycling. Lionel travelled to Weybridge in Surrey to meet Bennett for a conversation that's similar to a Lunch With... episode but without the lunch.

In fact, they sat on a bench in a pleasant park on a warm September's day and started by covering Bennett's own career as part of Great Britain's bronze medal-winning team pursuit squad. This is a two-part episode.
