The 2016 & 2017 Friends of the Podcast series

Following Joe Dombrowski’s Giro d’Italia stage win at Sestola, we have re-released a trilogy of episodes which trace his career, and those of two of his compatriots, from their early days.

In early 2016, Richard travelled to Nice to meet Joe, then riding for Cannondale, Ian Boswell of Team Sky and Larry Warbasse of IAM Cycling – three young Americans making their way in the sport in Europe.

That led to Joe keeping a diary for Friends of the Podcast at the 2016 Giro d’Italia, in which he took listeners inside the team as he rode Italy’s grand tour for the first time.

In 2017, Richard returned to Nice, this time with Orla Chennaoui to catch up with Joe and Ian. All three episodes are now on the Friends of the Podcast feed.
