This episode was suggested by our guest editor Nigel Manson, who wanted us to make an episode looking at the culture and cult of fan clubs in cycling.

Who sets them up and why? How involved do the riders get? What does a fan club do when their rider retires? And who should Friends of the Podcast adopt if they were to form a fan club of their own?
