Last year, The Cycling Podcast asked Irish road race champion Conor Dunne to keep an audio diary at the Tour of Britain. Conor was preparing for the race when his team, Aqua Blue Sport, suddenly collapsed.

Instead of sitting around feeling sorry for himself, Conor and his teammate Larry Warbasse packed their bags for a bikepacking adventure they called the No Go Tour. They recorded throughout their adventure and we released the #NoGoTour episode for Friends of the Podcast.

When we heard Conor’s new team, the Israel Cycling Academy, had been selected for the Tour of Britain, we asked if he’d like to document the race for Friends of the Podcast.

In this two-part episode we follow Conor as he says goodbye to his partner Stacey and their young baby Jesse and heads to Glasgow for the start of the race. Conor takes us behind the scenes with the Israel Cycling Academy, inside the team bus, and introduces us to his teammates. He also catches up with his #NoGoTour teammate Larry Warbasse.
