The 30th Giro Rosa was held over 10 days in early July.

It is widely accepted as the most important and prestigious women’s stage race on the calendar. It has the history, the course and the mountains and, unquestionably in recent years, the field to justify its status. This year it was headed by defending champion Annemiek van Vleuten of Mitchelton-Scott.

For the 2019 race we asked two riders, Lizzy Banks of Bigla Pro Cycling and Tayler Wiles of Trek-Segafredo, to keep audio diaries throughout the ten days. Each had an incident-packed race and recorded entertaining, insightful diaries, taking friends of The Cycling Podcast inside the Giro Rosa.
