Earlier this month, Richard Moore sat down with ex-pro David Millar at The Dancehouse Theatre in Manchester to discuss his latest book ‘The Racer’, published by Yellow Jersey Press.

Millar’s follow up to ‘Racing Through The Dark’ offers a unique insight into his time in the pro peloton, and into the mind of professional cyclist. Over the course of a season he re-examines visceral memories of high-speed crashes, tortuous time-trialling, and the challenge of life on the road away from loved ones.

Highlights from the evening’s event include; a skateboarding mishap, a vivid account of riding solo on the Champs-Elysées, and the tale of Max Sciandri and the disappearing bike…

You will also hear a selection of the best questions put to David by members of the audience.
