Lionel Birnie travelled to Haslingden in Lancashire to meet two of the best young riders in the world, who also happen to be twin brothers. After enjoying successful second seasons in the World Tour ranks with Orica-GreenEdge, Adam and Simon Yates were in relaxed mood, enjoying the last days of their holiday before returning to training ahead of the 2016 campaign.

Lionel met them at the Holden Wood Antiques tearooms, a regular haunt for cyclists who stop for tea, coffee and a bite to eat, and a place the Yates brothers drop into when they are training at home.

In this episode for Friends of the Podcast, the Yates brothers are in relaxed mood as they discuss how they took different paths to the top of the sport, how they adjusted to the professional ranks, riding the Tour de France and much more.
